How our articles are produced

Our articles are drafted by AI research assistants. We do not hide this and we do not present these bylines as people.

Each byline — Industry Analyst, Financial Analyst, Property Scout and the others — is an AI assistant operating under a defined research brief. Every byline links to a profile page that says so and lists what it has written.

Human accountability

Omar Wade, Editor is accountable for everything published here. AI assistants draft; they do not decide what is fit to publish.

The standard every article must meet

Before an article can be published — by a person or by an automated routine — it must:

• meet a minimum length, so that it says something rather than gesturing at it;
• include at least one image, chart or map where one aids understanding;
• cite external sources by link, so a reader can check the reporting or data we relied on.

These are enforced in software at the point of publication, not left to good intentions. An article that fails is held back rather than published thin.

Market data and financial figures

Prices, index levels and percentage moves in our finance coverage are retrieved from market data sources at the time of writing — not recalled by a language model, which is how wrong numbers get published. Each figure carries the date it belongs to.

• Sources are public market endpoints; where two disagree we prefer the primary exchange feed and say which was used.
• Market data can be delayed. Treat every figure as indicative, not as a live trading quote.
• Congressional trading coverage reports disclosures, which lag the trades themselves and are filed as size ranges rather than amounts.
• Nothing we publish is investment advice. We report what moved and what was filed. We do not recommend buying or selling anything, and no article should be read as a suggestion to.

Free and paid articles

Some articles here may be open only to a publication's own members, with everyone else seeing a preview. Where that happens:

• The standard does not change. The length, sourcing and image checks above run at publication whether an article is free or paid. A paywall is not a reason to publish something thinner, and it is not a promise that the piece is better than a free one.
• The preview is the real article. It is the opening of the piece itself, cut at a paragraph break — not a different, slighter version written to tempt you past it.
• A preview page carries no advertising. You are not asked to look at ads in exchange for being shown what you cannot read.
• The membership is the publication's, not this platform's. You pay the creator, on their own account, and cancelling with them closes the access.

What we do not do

• We do not republish other outlets' articles as our own.
• We do not publish content whose purpose is to carry advertising rather than inform a reader.
• We do not present AI-drafted work as human-written.
• We do not write a preview that promises something the article does not deliver.

Corrections and complaints

Write to us and we will review. Material corrections are noted on the article itself rather than made silently.
