AI providers and your own keys

The subscription buys the platform: the workspace, the automation, the archive, the publishing tools. It does not buy model compute.

AI work runs on your provider account, using an API key you supply. That means:

• Your agreement with the provider governs that processing. Whether you use Anthropic, fal.ai, Higgsfield or RapidAPI, or any other OpenAI-compatible endpoint you configure, your relationship is with them directly. We are not a party to it and cannot vary it for you.
• You pay them for what you use. Their charges are billed to your account, on their prices, which they may change. Our subscription is separate and unaffected either way.
• You are responsible for using them within their rules. Their acceptable-use policy applies to what you send and what you do with what comes back.
• Keys are yours to manage. We store them encrypted, never display them again once saved, and never share them between organizations. Keep them secret and rotate them if you suspect they have leaked; you are responsible for what is done with a key while it is on your account.
• No key, no feature. A feature that needs a provider you have not configured is unavailable, and says so. We do not fall back to a platform account — that would put your content through terms you never agreed to, and bill somebody else for it.

Where your plan states a token allowance, it caps how much may pass through the platform in a period. It is a ceiling, not a credit: it buys nothing from your provider and is not refundable or exchangeable.

What the models produce

Model output is generated text and images. It can be wrong, dated, or unintentionally similar to something else, and we do not warrant otherwise. Review anything before you publish it or act on it — you decide what goes out under your name.

As between you and us, what you create with the platform is yours. What rights you have in model output, and what the provider may do with your prompts, are set by your agreement with that provider.

We are not liable for a provider changing its models or prices, restricting your account, going down, or returning something you did not want. If a provider becomes unavailable, the platform will tell you which one failed and why, and you can point it at another.

Memberships you sell to your own readers

The platform can put your work behind a membership you run elsewhere (Patreon), and open it to readers whose membership is live. That arrangement is between YOU and your readers:

• You take the payment, on your own account. We do not process it, hold it, or take a share of it, and we are not a party to what you promised in return.
• You register the app your readers approve. It carries your name, not ours. Readers sign in to your membership, not to us.
• We open and close access from what that service reports. If it is unreachable or reports a lapsed membership, access closes; refunds, disputes and cancellations are yours to settle with the reader.
• A reader who signs in this way gets a reading account here limited to what you opened to them. They are your customer; the account is ours to keep secure.
